WSC Bainitic Cutting and Creasing Rule Steel

Wickeder Steel Company bainitic Cutting and Creasing Rule Steel is manufactured from a proprietary raw material produced by Wickeder Westfalenstahl of Germany. Both of the standard material grades undergo an Open Coil Annealing (OCA) during the cold rolling process. This OCA procedure, performed on the cold-rolled strip, results in a thin decarburized surface layer of 0.001 - 0.0015in. This thin layer of decarb imparts exceptional bending properties to the strip without affecting the hardenability of the material matrix. The resulting bainitic strip thus combines enhanced bending characteristics even at hardness levels up to HRC 52.
