About Wickeder Steel Company

Wickeder Steel Company (WSC) has been producing Precision Strip Steel at the Pleasant Prairie facility since August 2002. The facility was initially established as American Steel Works with production having begun in 1994. WSC's parent company, Wickeder Westfalenstahl (WW), one of the premier precision European cold-rolling mills, is located in the heart of the famous Ruhr Valley in Germany. WW has been one of the primary suppliers of precision cold-rolled strip as the raw material for WSC production, since our inception.

Our Engineering and Production staff has spent literally years at the sides of our German colleagues learning the precision strip trade and mutually developing processes which combine the know-how and hands-on experiences of both the "Old" and "New" worlds. This combination of "upstream" knowledge and capabilities along with the state-of-the-art Hardening and Tempering capabilities in Pleasant Prairie, creates a unique foundation for the discussion we find to be an absolute necessity at the outset of any supply relationship. While we do feel comfortable suggesting a "standard" solution to any given situation, we strongly prefer that a mutually developed product specification, using the knowledge and experience of all parties, be the basis of supply.

WSC understands fully that the finest product is worth little without the service of an experienced support staff. Our Sales Associates are truly among the most experienced and dedicated in our specialty strip industry.
